The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) was unchanged in October on a seasonally adjusted basis, after increasing 0.4 percent in September, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Consumer prices rose at slower pace in October as a drop in oil prices dragged down headline inflation, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Tuesday morning. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0% over last month and 3.2% over the prior year in October, a deceleration from September’s 0.4% monthly increase and 3.7% annual gain in prices.
