Indicator applications
- Identify the beginning and end of a process within a specified time frame
- This indicator, along with other indicators (indicators that measure the speed of stock changes) can be used to determine the new stock price.
- Another important use of this indicator is that traders who use Elliott Waves for their trades can easily count the waves using this indicator. In this way, when the transaction price is outside the crocodile’s mouth, a new wave is formed, which is called the kinetic wave, and when the price is inside the crocodile’s mouth, the correction wave It is being formed.
Different indicator modes

- Sleep Mode: When the indicator enters this mode, all three moving averages begin to overlap. (When this happens, there is no trend share)
- Hunger: It is in this situation that there is no trend in the market for a certain period of time. And in general it is preparing to enter a new trend.
- Satisfaction mode: This mode is when all three moving average lines are separated from each other. (In this case, a new trend in the market is being formed)
Identify trends through the Alligator indicator
- Downward trend: When the crocodile’s lip is at the bottom and the crocodile’s jaw is at the top, we see a downward trend.
The following figure shows an example of a downward trend in the share of oil in the hourly chart:
- Ascending trend: When the crocodile’s lip is at the top and the crocodile’s jaw is at the bottom, the ascending trend will be formed.
The following image, which is a daily chart of shares and oil, shows an example of an uptrend:
