In examining time cycles, instead of asking ourselves in which direction and how much the market will move, we ask when it will get there or even when it will start moving. In standard daily bar charts, the vertical axis shows the price scale. But this line contains only half of the necessary information. The horizontal axis displays the time scale. The most influential book ever written about cycles was written by Edward Dewey, one of the pioneers of cycle analysis, entitled “Cycles, the Amazing Forces That Start Events.” Thousands of separate cycles are separated from the cycles of a hundred years and sometimes a thousand years. For example, the abundance cycle of cormorants in the Atlantic is 96 years, and the cycle of international wars from 1415 to 1930 is about 22.2 years.

Introductory concepts of time cycles

The principle of synchronicity refers to the strong tendency of waves of the same length to reach the hole simultaneously. In other words, waves of the same wavelength tend to behave harmoniously.
The principle of proportionality introduces the relationship between domain and period. Cycles Longer periods should have wider ranges as well. For example, the amplitude or height of a 40-day cycle should be twice that of a 20-day cycle.
